About Me
My name is Natalie Akpele. I am the founder and CEO of Cuddlebuggs. I am a former Lead Infant Teacher turned professional nanny. I have worked with small children for over 11 years now and have loved every minute of it. My passion for children, along with my belief that children should receive quality care from day one, has brought me to a new chapter in my life.
In September 2001, I began a small babysitting company here in the Atlanta Metro area. I started out working mainly with families from the preschool in the evenings in my spare time. But soon things changed – my small babysitting business began to grow into something much more. It was taken on a life of it’s own. Well, not really but it was becoming much more that I had originally planned.
In January 2006, I began working as a part-time Newborn Care Specialist (baby nurse) in Atlanta. I absolutely LOVED it. It was something I had dreamed of but never knew existed until then. I mean what could be better than helping a new mom and dad get some much needed rest while I snuggled with their little bundle of joy at night. Amazing!!
By February of 2007, I had more work than I could handle. That’s when I decided to expand my one-woman business and enter into the field of being a full-time nanny and Newborn Care Specialist. Thus, Cuddlebuggs, LLC was formed in November of the same year. During my run as a almost full time babysitter – I had a great deal of families ask me for help in locating nannies for them. Since I had worked as a Lead Teacher, Part-time nanny, Newborn Care Specialist and a babysitter, I figured I would give nanny placement and newborn care placement a shot. My intention was to help families find quality nannies and newborn care specialist. And that’s what I have done.
We are a small agency that cares about you and your newborns, babies and toddlers. I provide families with the peace-of-mind, reassurance and exceptional quality when mom & dad are unable to be there. From my point-of-view and my professional training and experience, I have always felt that I was the best qualified to care for infants and young children.
